SOS Children’s Village Bangpoo, Samutprakarn

Located at 383 Moo 2, Sukhumvit Road, Bang Pu Mai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Prakan, 10280.  This was the first SOS Children’s Village to be established in Thailand on 4 acres of land donated by our founder and Honorary Chairwoman, Thanpuying Somsri Charoen-Rajapark.

It consists of 12 family houses for children and their mothers, an official residence for the director, a multipurpose building (consisting of guest rooms and accommodations for “aunties” and staff on the 2nd floor with an office, first-aid room, machine room and a coop downstairs), a nursery building, library, staff house and housing for retired mothers.

The official opening ceremony of SOS Children’s Village Bangpoo, Samutprakarn was held on February 20th, 1974, and was presided over by Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni of the Seventh Reign.

SOS Youth Care Samutprakarn

Located at 18 Moo 3 Soi Bunsiri, Sukhumvit Road, Bang Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Prakan Province 10270 , This SOS Children’s Village has the capacity to support 20 children.

SOS Youth Facility Samutprakarn was established in 1981.  Once the boys from SOS Children’s Village Bangpoo turn14 years of age, they move to Youth Facility in order to focus on more age-appropriate training that will help them to become self-reliant adults.
